about
A wave of sightings in the late 80s, early 90s near Elkhorn, Wisconsin of a 7 foot tall beast with brown fur and the face of a dog caused a small town to shudder in fear of ever having to travel down a rural road past sundown.
Bray road was remote, and witnesses described something from a nightmare. Linda Godfrey, a local reporter was assigned to investigate the sightings, and after hearing their testimonies, her once skeptic inclination changed to full on belief, leading her to write a book on the subject and chronicling the phenomenon for future generations.
This is a true account.
lyrics
I seen him moving, running
Keeping pace with speeding cars
Up on Bray Road
Up on Bray Road
I heard him barking, howling
Screaming at the harvest moon
Up on Bray Road
Up on Bray Road
The place my nightly dreams take me
Is to that winding curve
Up on Bray Road
Up on Bray Road
And all I see in my mind’s eye
Is that beast which god left behind
Those pointy ears and that wolfish tail
And the big, sharp claws that’ll leave you pale
Man Dog x4
I’d heard the stories, I’ll admit that I was not convinced
Until I saw the beast
Until I saw the beast
Coming home late one night, I thought I’d take the fastest route
Right through Bray Road
Right through Bray Road
I came around the curve
And saw it on the side with it’s back turned
It wheeled around and it chased me down
And it followed me right to the edge of town
It followed me
Now when the meetings go late
I take the long way and I don’t debate
Stay away from Bray Road x4
