about
“The skunk ape, also known as the swamp cabbage man, swamp ape, stink ape, Florida Bigfoot, Louisiana Bigfoot, myakka ape, swampsquatch, and myakka skunk ape, is a humanoid creature said to inhabit some southeastern U.S. states,[1] with reports from Florida being most common. It is named for its appearance and unpleasant odor. The skunk ape is reported to resemble the Sasquatch of the Pacific Northwest, but is typically shorter in comparison, has long patches of fur on the shoulders and arms similar to an orangutan, and is often described as a mottled rusty-red color as opposed to the Sasquatch's brown or black coloration. Some reports also describe the creature as having pale coloration around its eyes or face, similar to a gibbon.” From Wikipedia

Gave me a smile but I was choked up and gagging
Stepped towards my person and I started cursing
I ran back inside
Grabbed my Polaroid and a light
When I returned it seems it had run away
But I could hear it whompin just a few yards away
In hot pursuit, my Polaroid in hand
I pointed and I shoot and that must’ve made it mad
Cuz it was growling real loud when I got back inside my house
Such a terrible sound, must’ve gone on for hours
When the sun came up and I went back outside
There was nothing to see except some footprints in the mire
Well I told all my friends, even told the police
And they all just laughed, no one wants to believe me
But I keep that picture up on the shelf
To remind myself of the time that I met the
