Came a terrible scent and a terrible sound
Came up on my porch, muckin about, four in the morn
I grabbed my shoot-six and put on my boot kicks
Threw open the door yellin
GO ON GIT
And there it was for all to see
Except there was no one else but me
It looked me in my eyes, my nose running nasty
Gave me a smile but I was choked up and gagging
Stepped towards my person and I started cursing
I ran back inside
Grabbed my Polaroid and a light
When I returned it seems it had run away
But I could hear it whompin just a few yards away
In hot pursuit, my Polaroid in hand
I pointed and I shoot and that must’ve made it mad
Cuz it was growling real loud when I got back inside my house
Such a terrible sound, must’ve gone on for hours
When the sun came up and I went back outside
There was nothing to see except some footprints in the mire
Well I told all my friends, even told the police
And they all just laughed, no one wants to believe me
But I keep that picture up on the shelf
To remind myself of the time that I met the
